My work spans picturebooks, magazine illustration, and art, bringing together watercolor, pencil, and other materials to explore the natural world. Birds, trees, leaves, and landscapes recur throughout my work, shifting between close observation and abstraction. I am drawn to the way precise detail can sit alongside forms shaped by memory and imagination.
I follow lines, contrasts, and textures with both my eyes and my mind. Layering materials lets fluid watercolor washes meet carefully observed forms, creating images that suggest discovery and story. Across my work, nature’s changing forms invite close looking, remembrance, and imagination.

I spent hours with drawing outside and drawing inside in my studio
